Expert Heating Installation

As part of our expert heating installation services, we consult with clients about heating installation options. There are multiple considerations when choosing a heating system, and heating equipment can vary depending on size, power source, heating method, and home size.

To determine what type of heating system would work best in your home or business, consider:

    • The fuel type you'd like to use
    • What features / modern comforts you would like from your thermostat or heating source
    • The amount of BTUs (British Thermal Units) per square foot in your home

Heating Replacement and Upgrades

Our experienced team can replace and upgrade furnaces, boilers, and ducted or ductless heat pumps.

Replacement and upgrades are available for:

    • Natural gas, propane, electric, and oil furnaces
    • Natural gas, propane, and electric boilers

We work to ensure new HVAC equipment is the correct size for the heat loss and gain of a space and for proper alignment with the distribution capabilities of the air ducts.

Jon was very polite and knowledgeable. He made sure the heater system and thermostat were both working correctly before he left. We would recommend him to anyone. Thanks again, Jon

Reasons for Replacement and Upgrades

There are multiple reasons for a heating system replacement or upgrade.

Improper Installation of Original Equipment

One reason is that original HVAC equipment may have been installed as inexpensively as possible and is not running properly and/or efficiently. Cheaper installations can lead to improper functionality and shortened longevity. Monetary savings and efficiency payoffs such as lower energy bills, increased home value, and a reduction in wasted energy are all potential benefits of heating system replacement or upgrade.

Expired Warranty

Another reason for replacement or upgrade is that a current heating unit is no longer in warranty. If your heating unit’s warranty has expired, consider looking into what a newer unit can provide by way of efficiency, comfort, and warranty.

Recurring Repairs

If your heating unit is consistently in need of repair, contact us about the installation of a new unit. Our technicians can discuss options. Reduce heating downtime and save money spent on repair costs with a new heating unit.

Improper Airflow

Improper airflow may result from a cheaply or incorrectly installed heating unit. It may mean a compromised filter. Other potential reasons include an insufficient blower motor, small air ducts, or poor duct design. If it takes a long time for your current heating unit to warm your home, call First Call Jewel for a solution.

Spike In or High Utility Bills

Utility bills that have spiked or that are generally high may be indicators that your heating unit is not working properly or efficiently. Heating units that were incorrectly installed may run inefficiently, leading to higher heating costs. Another reason for high energy bills is heating units wearing out. Considerations also include that duct problems can cause misdirected air, and older units are generally not as energy-efficient as newer heating units.

Talk to one of our professional technicians about heating solutions that could equal savings on your utility bill.

Uneven Heat Distribution

A heating unit replacement or upgrade can address uneven heat distribution in a home. Let us discuss solutions for rooms that are usually cold, cold spots around the house, and temperature inconsistency.

Not Reaching Set Temperature

Contact First Call Jewel if your current heating unit runs, but the thermostat’s set temperature is not reached. This may be an indication that a replacement or upgrade is needed. The current heating system may be too small for the space, or there may be other problems involved.

Physical Damage

A heating system that has been physically damaged may not run properly. Damage may include gas valve corrosion, frozen lines, a broken motor, and burned wires. If you are concerned that a damaged heating unit may be interrupting the comfort a well-running heating system should provide, contact our team.
