If I notice ice buildup in my AC unit, what should I do?
If you find ice on or around the coils or other parts of your AC unit, turn off the AC and leave the fan running. The AC will still run air through the unit while thawing out the built up ice. This process usually takes anywhere from 4 - 6 hours, which is when you can fully power your AC back on.
